Tanner Hall Takes Winter Dew Tour Superpipe

Tanner Hall claims first place at the first stop of the Dew Tour in Breckenride, CO. Weather wasn’t ideal but that didnt stop Tanner from dominating the field.Tanner’s winning run started off with a 1260, followed by back to back 9’s and a flat 3 into a switch 10 to finish it out. Justin Dorey took home second while Duncan Adams took third. Congratulations Tanner! Look for Tanner on the next stop of the Dew Tour in Mt. Snow, VT.

Breckenridge Winter Dew Tour TV Schedule

Watch the first ever Winter Dew Tour stop this weekend straight from the slopes in Breckenridge. Get your DVR ready because chances are re-runs will be sparse.

Watch live coverage as the competition gets underway for the Winter Dew Cup. Saturday will feature the Ski Slopestyle competition. Get familiar with the best Freeskiers in the world. Next watch what happened on the first day of finals competition. The competition got started with Snowboard slopestyle. Get ready ,Sunday, for the Ski Slopestyle competition. Sunday also features the main event: snowboard Superpipe.

NEW YORK — December 1, 2008 — NBC Sports and MTV, a division of Viacom’s MTV Networks (NYSE: VIA and VIA.B), announced today the creation of Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports”. Alli is a global business that joins the former Action Sports Tour properties (AST) with Maloof Money Cup, AMA Motocross Championship and King of Wake series to create the most diverse and robust action-sports offering in the world. The new umbrella brand, which will continue to be co-owned by NBC Sports and MTV, will offer a schedule of seven national and international action sports tours and events, multimedia content and production, a digital hub and consumer-facing lifestyle brand.

Winter Dew Tour Athletes Announced (Tanner Hall Is Back)

Well, well, well. It looks like Tanner Hall will be competing in both Slope Style and Half Pipe this year at the NEW AST Winter Dew Tour. It has been a while since Mr. Hall has been seen in both the half pipe and in slope style. Tanner will be sharing this honor with a couple other skiers that call themselves the best in the world. Simon Dumont, Sammy Carlson, Peter Olenick, Jossi Wells, AJ Kemppainen and Colby West will all be duel eventers this season although it is not yet said what stops they will be visiting.

Nike 6.0 Ski Rail Jam in Portland

Nike 6.0 and Wendy’s put on a rail jam this weekend in Portland. As a precursor to the Winter Dew tour, this jam session gave skiers a chance at $4000. Riders threw down in a half hour jam format and were scored on their combination of tricks. Tom Wallisch took 1st, Ian Cosco 2nd and Joe Schuster snagged 3rd. AST Winter Dew Tour Dates and Locations

Dates and locations of the inaugural Winter Dew Tour have been announced! Breckenridge Ski Resort will play host to the very first of this three event Tour this December, and will welcome the world’s top snowboarders and skiers to beautiful Colorado for freeskiing and snowboarding events for both men and women.


The complete 2008/2009 AST Winter Dew Tour schedule is as follows:

  • Dec. 18-21: Breckenridge Ski Resort – Breckenridge, Colorado
  • Jan. 8-11: Mount Snow Resort – West Dover, Vermont
  • Feb. 19-22: Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort – Lake Tahoe, California



Event disciplines for the men will include slopestyle and superpipe snowboarding as well as slopestyle and superpipe skiing. The disciplines for the women include slopestyle and superpipe snowboarding and slopestyle and superpipe skiing exhibitions.


Fans will be able to catch all of the winter action on NBC, MTV2 and USA.
