How long have you and I been waiting for Oakley to introduce an over sized goggle? Well, the wait is over with the introduction of the Oakley Canopy Goggle. I was blown away with the technology and features loaded into the Canopy Goggle. Oh and Tanner Hall has a rasta inspired pro model so… Jah.
Check out our highlights from day 3 of SIA 2012. New Salomon Guardian Touring bindings are finally here, Armada Magic J Skis (Sorry no pictures until we get the go ahead), Atomic Automatic Skis, and the MFD all time binding plates are a couple products that caught our eye as we walked the show. Really stoked to finally see the Atomic ski that Sage will be dominating on this season.
I have personally been overly critical of Tanner Hall for the past two years. After watching the award winning documentary, Like A Lion, I have had to take a step back, admit that I was wrong about him, and re focused on the good that Tanner has brought to the sport of skiing. I am stoked that he is back on skis and at a higher level than I would have expected. He has had to battle through a lot of life to get where he is today. I am proud of him for giving skiing another chance.
The first webisode of the Tanner Hall Collection (THC) was just uploaded on Thursday night and it is a banger. Tanner’s new online media outlet, InspiredMedia.tv, is going to be the place for fresh and moving content for the 2011 / 2012 season. The first edit features Tanner, Sammy Carlson and some friends in the Utah back and side country. ESPN reports that future webisodes will document T’s adventures to Retallack and Alaska.
The 2012 Tanner Hall POC helmet is black with rasta highlights, the Jon Olsson helmet has a low profile design and the TJ Schiller helmet is clean. That is why we don’t blame POC when they told us that they didn’t change them from last year. Over all we are stoked.
I got so excited this morning when I heard Tanner Hall was going to be doing an interview to promote his new documentary, “Like A Lion“. Little did I know that the guy giving the interview would be teleprompted some crazy, crazy stuff. First Tanner is the worlds best Free Skater what ever that means. Then… he says THall has won seven XBox games. With the amount of down time Tanner has had in the past year we know he has beat way more XBox games than that. I would believe it is safe that he is in the teens when it comes to games destroyed. Get your facts straight dog.

Red Bull knows how to party and they bring love to every sport they strategically allow a red blue and yellow helmet. Last year’s Line Catcher event showcased the best big mountain freeskiers in the world. Trust me… This upcoming event will be even better. Red Bull Linecatcher is back on the slopes of Vars, France from the 15th to 22nd of January in the year 2011.

Looks like Mr. Tanner Hall is back on snow after a grueling year of rehab. He looks to be in amazing physical condition and we wish him well. We hope to see some more summer hood footage soon!
The Red Bull Linecatcher event in Vars, France was quite amazing this year. The new competition format catered to the style of free skiing’s top athletes. For the past couple of years it seems more and more pros are leaving the terrain park for natural hits in the back country. The course in Vars had a big mountain feel with select takeoffs throughout giving everyone the freedom to choose a line and hit huge transfers. Frenchman Candide Thovex took 1st by sticking his final run, K2 Ski’s Sean Pettit placed 2nd but maybe should have been a little higher with his mind blowing run, and CR Johnson rounded out the podium with the bronze. TannerHall.com is now live. I think everyone was wondering when Tanner’s rasta themed blog was going to produce solid content. Well it looks like it is here and with video too. The design is clean and because of the unfortunate crash filming for TGR last year, Tanner should have some time to keep us up to date on what he is up to.

We are stoked that the condition of his knee is improving and that he is gaining so much momentum in his physical therapy.
