Sammy Carlson showed up in Zurich this weekend and dominated the competition. With the sponsor support of Nike 6.0 Freeski, Rockstar and Salomon Skis, Sammy goes huge banging out a double corked 1080 with a mute grab, and a little poke in the middle. Judges were stoked on Sammy’s style. We are stoked on the new 2010 Salomon Suspect Ski. They look awesome this year with a matte black top sheet. Don’t forget to watch Sammy’s new ski movie, Can’t Stop.
Sammy Carlson’s New Movie, Can’t Stop

Can’t Stop, directed by Dom Janiszewski, is the outcome of a solid collaboration between Dom and Sammy, who has been involved in every stage from planning to graphic design. They began shooting just before the X-Games in Aspen and the surrounding areas. The next big stop was in Europe in Montgenèvre where they had excellent conditions. Then to finalize everything, Dom spent over a month in the US travelling all over the place with Sammy and company.
This year, Ride the Planets also collaborated with filmers based in the US: Pete Alport, Justin Weigan and Brandon Husak. They filmed the more urban shoots around the US with various riders.
The film also features freeskiers such as Matt Walker, Tanner Hall, Simon Dumont, Tommy Ellingson, Mike Hornbeck, Ben Moxham, Liam Downey and Nick Martini as well as ‘Sammy’s kids’ Willie Borm and Seamus Flanagan. Of course, infamous paragliding shots with Antoine Montant are topped off with impressive speedflying.

Charles Gagnier Skis Salomon Suspects On FreeSki TV
Posted on September 30th, 2008 in General by Spencer
Quite possibly the quietest skier of all time, Charles Gagnier prefers to let his skiing do the talking. For the first time, Charles opens up and tells about his ski racing roots, the trip that launched his pro career, what scares him, and whether or not Simon Dumont and Tanner Hall are good the sport.

Simon Dumont Redbull NZ Video
Posted on September 24th, 2008 in General by SpencerSimon Dumont checks in with the story of his time down in New Zealand a few weeks ago. This video is good look into the beginning of the road to the X Games. Simon’s friend, and superpipe rival Tanner Hall, shows up throwing down some doubles in the pipe and Simon throws down as well. Crashes all around show that these guys are mortal, but nonetheless they still cart around a pair bigger than the average skier. Enjoy the video after the break…
