The JOI and JOSS are not just about Lamborghini’s and partying with Swedish chicks. They are not about “My Friend Is A Pro” ring tones and they are never about Tom Wallisch playing god. They are all about skiing. Well maybe it used to be that way when Sammy Carlson won the event. I fear it is not that cut and dry anymore and it looks like Jon agrees. Let’s be honest. The past couple years have been a circus but that is all going to change. We are pleased to announce a new format for the 2011 Jon Olsson Invitational. Unfortunately the Jon Olsson Super Sessions will not be happening but Jon promises it will be bigger and better than ever when it returns. So… Who else out there is ready to see some triple corks? You know the boys are going to throw down.

I thought that I would start by announcing how Team Europe will be put together. This is not an easy task, no matter how I do it there will be discussions whether it was the right guys that got in. Tom Wallisch has rad style and when paired up with a technical skier like Dumont you get the best representation of Team America. This video shows off what Tom and Simon bring to FreeSkiing. I would have been stoked on the original team America consisting of Tanner Hall and Sammy Carlson but this is the next best thing. Stoked to see this vid. I think you will be too.

We knew Jon was having a little trouble securing the resort and sponsors needed to host the JOSS. He has been stressing out the past couple weeks but with that said he can now rest a little easier. SkiersRealm is so stoked to see that it is going to happen. With the economy the way it is to not have a riders event like the JOSS and JOI would be a travesty.
