In The Beginning… 2010 FreeStyle.ch

Posted on September 28th, 2010 in Events by Spencer

The 2010 Freestyle.ch has come and gone and the 2010/2011 season is right around the bend. I was just starting to enjoy my summer here in Oregon, but I guess it is time to get my skis mounted and waxed (We have to wax in Oregon because the snow has little baby arms that grab you). The Freestyle.ch gives me the chance to speculate who made it up to Hood and Blackcomb in the off season. You can tell by an athlete’s demeanor and style.

The toughest competitor on the ramp this year was moister, dripping off the limited edition goggles warn by skiing’s elite athletes. After checking out the videos from the event I could not determine a clear winner. I will tell you one thing… I can’t watch anymore double corks. I am sorry but Sammy Carlson made it boring when he landed a triple at Mt Hood during the filming of the new TGR film. The FreeStyle.ch was everything we expected from the action sports festival. Henrik Harlaut, Elias Ambühl, Andreas Håtveit, and PK Hunder held it down. I truly didn’t expect a Euro sweep of the podium but the Americans did hold it down for the other half of the top ten. Russ Henshaw Wins 2009 London Freeze

Posted on November 1st, 2009 in Events, General, Skiers by Spencer

The biggest names in free skiing once again converged onto London town for the 2009 Freeze. This years jump was awesomely big and then it rained. The competition almost did not happen when half of the landing washed away. Simon Dumont cut his losses and did not compete. The skiers that kept their boots on were given the chance to hit the kicker after about two hours of work. Props to the staff that were able to get the new snow to stick to the wet landing. Overall the competition was a success. Props to Russ, Andreas and Bobby.

Henrik Harlaut Takes Freestyle Berlin

Posted on October 11th, 2009 in Events, General, Skiers by Spencer

Henrik Harlaut takes the win at the Freestyle Berlin this weekend and is also the newest member of the Empire Attire Team. Putting in the time on Mt. Hood this summer season must have done Henrik well. Another guy that spends a lot of time at Mt. Hood, Sammy Carlson, won the Freestyle Zurich a couple weeks ago but came in second this weekend. TJ Schiller rounded the top three and Jacob Wester took fourth.

K2 Skis PK Hunder Wins London Freeze Big Air

Posted on October 24th, 2008 in General by Spencer

Thanks to Jacob Wester for the short video to keep us up to date. 4th place went to Jacob Wester, 3rd went to Richard Permin, and Simon Dumont took 2nd. The top of the podium went to the skier that has been killing it lately, K2 Ski’s PK Hunder. Looks like a good event went down in London. It sure made the Icer Air look like a joke.
