Posted on December 1st, 2010 in General, Skiers by Kyle

These ladies are at the top of their game and are paving the way for Women’s Freeskiing. So I wanted to do a piece that highlighted who’s ruling the snow and to give an idea of where they came from, how they got there and maybe add in a few fun facts along the way.

Grete Eliassen Signs With Volkl Skis

Posted on March 24th, 2010 in General, Skiers by Spencer

We are so stoked to hear that Grete is going to be part of the impressive Volkl FreeSki Team. Leaving Head Skis after such a great stretch in her career had to be hard. She should feel at home with teammates Ingrid Backstrom, Dylan Hood, and JF Houle. I am excited to see what she will be able to accomplish with a pair of the new Volkl Chopsticks. Stay tuned for updates on Grete’s new movie “Say My Name“.

Day 1: 2010 X Games Slopestyle Results

Posted on January 28th, 2010 in Events, General by Spencer

Day 1 is over and so are the X games for a couple unfortunate professional skiers. Since only the top 8 move up, the men’s slopestyle finals are going to be packed with the best. I wasn’t really impressed with the double flipping straight rail riding competition today. I am stoked to see Sammy and Tom throw down with more style Saturday. Check out the Skiing Slopestyle Men’s Final on ESPN 2 this Saturday, January 30 at 4 pm- 6 pm.

The women’s slopestyle field was quite a bit smaller so the finals were held today. Kaya Turski, Keri Herman, and Grete Eliassen rounded out the top 3 with no real surprises.

Grete Eliassen, “Say My Name” Teaser

Posted on November 21st, 2009 in General, Skiers by Spencer

Grete Eliassen, one of the most recognizable woman freeskiers in the world has been working for the past two years on a new video project titled, Say My Name. Grete is juggling school, the life of a professional skier, and to say the least some amazing causes. From being a representative of female athletes to visiting troops in Iraq this girl shines in so many ways. I am not sure how she does it. If you follow her on Twitter you find out quite quickly that she is an incredibly hard worker. There is nothing this girl cannot do. Check out the trailer and follow her on twitter.
