2013 Line Mr Pollard’s Opus Skis Sneak Peek #SIA12

Posted on January 25th, 2012 in Gear by Spencer

Eric Pollard goes dark for 2013. Check out the new Mr. Pollard’s Opus ski from Line. Last season we saw a new design that focused more on producing the perfect powder ski that performs on piste as well. This thinner waisted yet stiffer design is in my mind a threat to the Rossignol S7 and Armada JJ market that has dominated sales for the last couple years. Line is also releasing a 192cm version of the MPO that is sure to delight the masses. The new black top sheets are classy but still deliver a glimpse into the mind of EP. Check back as we will have a full review of the 2013 Line skis.

The Line Skis Mountain Command Team is a mix of the most talented, unique and individual skiers in the world. How can a bunch of individuals be a team you ask? Their creativity is the bond that connects them, driving the voice of the Line brand and beating the drum of new ways to look at the mountain, the streets, backcountry and everywhere in between.

Causwell Outerwear Welcomes Eric Pollard

Posted on October 11th, 2010 in Skiers by Spencer

Pollard, a man that needs no prelude, has expanded well beyond the image of a professional athlete as a filmmaker, editor, ski designer, and artist. Throughout his prolific career, Eric has taken a unique approach to skiing and allows his creativity to transcend his paintbrush and apply his talents to multiple facets of the industry.

The summation of hundreds of published photos, timeless film segments, unique paintings, ski graphics, and ground-breaking product development will create the foundation for a line of outerwear just as innovative as its creator. For his signature series, we’re giving EP full control as an artist and a product designer to create something skiers can take pride in wearing. Rather than provide a few color swatches and have him select his favorite, Pollard will craft every detail, select every material, and apply years of experience to a series of technical products and softgoods that will inspire the best in all who wear it. At Causwell, we merely provide the canvas for yet another work of art.

Nimbus Crew Converges On Mammoth

The Nimbus crew heads south for the winter and sure enough they find it. With a solid group of skiers and a couple Go Pro Cameras these guys are going to have some rad edits available for viewing soon. Photographer Peter Morning has also joined the boys to get some still pics. With a projected storm total at Mammoth of over 10 feet it shouldn’t be hard to get some amazing shots in the deep deep pow.

Something to mention is the fact that two new faces have joined the crew in Cali. Christian Sirianni is originally from Australia but has moved his residence to Mammoth with a mission to slay. Sharing a love of the K2 Hellbent Skis with Andy Mahre should help him fit right in. The other new face is that of Volkl Team Skier, Dylan Hood. Dylan moved to Oregon a couple years ago and was able to connect with Eric Pollard since they both ski Mt. Hood Meadows. After filming with Teton Gravity Research for the past couple years it will be awesome to see his skills pasted to the creative forefront that only Nimbus can deliver. Keep an eye out for Dylan Hood’s new website that is coming soon. Also check NimbusIndependent.com and ChrisBenchetler.com for new edits as they are become available.
