Widely considered one of the most versatile and thrilling Freeskiers on the planet, Richard Permin has decided to join the Atomic family. Atomic is incredibly excited about the addition and will work closely with Richard to support his tremendous progression.

We are stoked to see Richard making the move. I am guessing he is going to destroy his film segment this season on a pair of 2013 Atomic Automatic Skis. For now check out this little video from the 2011 season.

Atomic Skis welcomes Mike Riddle as the newest addition to its already great line-up of riders including the Wells boys. The young Canadian may be the world’s best halfpipe skier. He has been holding it down for Canada and when I say holding it down I mean dominating for America’s hat. Riddle will ride the Atomic Punx Skis with Atomic FFG 16 bindings and the Atomic Volt boots.

Tim launched TimDurtschi.com this week in his down time between filming for the new PoorBoyz video and making it onto the podium at the 2011 Red Bull Line Catcher event in France. We are sure that the new site will be an awesome source of content throughout the rest of the 2011 season. Tim is considered one of the best freeskiers in the industry with video segments that continue to progress the sport dramatically. His smooth style and rad attitude has pushed the sport of backcountry and sidecountry skiing into the mainstream. We have been following Tim’s journey through his blog on Saga Outerwear‘s website and are stoked to see what will be next.

These ladies are at the top of their game and are paving the way for Women’s Freeskiing. So I wanted to do a piece that highlighted who’s ruling the snow and to give an idea of where they came from, how they got there and maybe add in a few fun facts along the way.

Sage was rocking Rossignol and rocking it well for the last couple years. The Rossignol S7 complemented the way Sage skis and gave him the tools to confidently ski the biggest lines in Alaska. Now it looks like he will be rocking a pair of Atomic Bent Chetlers, but for how long? Because of the magnitude of this move there might just be a new Mr. Cattabriga-Alosa pro model ski in the near future. Only time will tell. For now we will ponder the fate of Rossignol and patently wait for new media from Atomic. Congrats Sage.
