Nike 6.0 Ski Takes Winter X Games

Posted on January 30th, 2009 in General by Spencer

The 6.0 team started it’s X Games week off right with Simon taking Bronze in the Superpipe. He had come into the contest, naturally, expecting Gold, as many others expected as well. And each of his three runs looked golden until its very last hit, or lack thereof. Just like last year, Simon was by many accounts the best skier in the contest, just without enough half pipe to show everything he could do. Although he had it dialed in practice, Simon went a little bigger in the contest and ended up running out of pipe before he could get his last-hit alley-oop nine. Oh well, third is pretty sick, right? READ MORE…

Holy Nike 6.0′s, CoreUpt’s TJ Schiller is Back

Posted on November 30th, 2008 in General by Spencer

Hello Mr. Schiller. Welcome back to a Skier’s Realm. There is no better feeling than clicking back into a pair of bindings after dealing with the struggle of recovering from an injury. According to a source close to TJ, he still has worries about the life of his career and how well his knee will hold up this year. With the amount of work TJ Schiller has put into the rehab process, there is no doubt in my mind he will be strong enough to make a huge impact in the skiing community this season.

TJ Schiller Joins Coreupt Skis

Posted on October 18th, 2008 in General by Spencer

TJ Schiller:
By pure coincidence I was contacted by CoreUPT when my Armada contract was expiring. As I knew of them a bit I was comfortable chatting with them. Having Candide & Richard on board really was a big push for me. I admire these 2 guys so much, for they have such a love for skiing and are absolutely NUTS on-hill and in Competition. Using Skype was really helpful, as it helped me to get even more at ease, especially not having met Guerlain and Matthieu (The masterminds behind CoreUPT) and hearing what they had to say about the planning, background, backing and their business plan for the Skiers market. I got the feeling that it was really being designed as much as possible as a “skier’s company”, that is, not any fly-by-night outfit just trying to break into the market, but a group of people who looked at everything with the skier’s point of view first and foremost in mind.

Nike 6.0 Brings Copper Mountain Mayhem

Posted on July 18th, 2008 in General by Spencer

Why wouldn’t Nike 6.0′s Free Ski Team take a day to destroy spots at Copper Mountain locals have probably been dreaming about for years. There is always something special when you see your local spot being destroyed by the your favorite pros. Jossi, Sammy, and TJ are all well rounded in the art of hitting rails of any shape and size.

It may be International Surf Day, but that doesn’t mean snow is just a pipe dream. Jossi Wells, Sammy Carlson and TJ Schiller hit up Copper Mountain for a little 6.0 shoot and prove dreams can become reality.
