Ready or not here comes the cold. If you’ve been checking the reports lately then it’s no surprise to you but if not then this is your heads up. Winter is in full swing. We’ve had a little taste of the cold stuff so far but now the rumors are that La Nina will consistently be sending storms our way for December. And if that doesn’t happen then I’ll just throw out the standard, “well it’s the Northwest, weather changes every 5 minutes.”

Looking specifically at the next week I’m gonna say that Tuesday through Thursday could be a few banger days. With Wednesday being the peak. Which should be nice for Mt. Bachelor who is scheduled to open Wednesday. Mt. Hood Meadows should produce some real nice days as well since it looks like they’ll have cold temps up there too. Early season, Meadows has some unreal terrain in their bowls.

Good to see the snow coming back into the forecast later in the week as well. The cold temps through the week plus the continued snow fall should keep conditions right on point.

I’ve already seen turns this year that would rival any day last year, so if that is an indication to what this Winter will bring then I think your gonna see a lot of smiles around the PNW this year. Well maybe you won’t be able to see them, with all the face shots to be had. But you’ll hear them that’s for sure.
