I can only hope that when I’m in my 70′s I’m able to be skiing like these “bums”. Even though the skiing in this episode wasn’t anything crazy, I have to say that it’s still one of my favorites. They might not be household skier names like Seth or Tanner, but to me these folks are still legends of the sport. Anyone who is so dedicated and loves something to put it first above so many other things is just down right impressive. To hear them talk about what it’s like to ski powder and the comradery between each other is pretty awesome. I’ve tried to describe what it’s like to ski powder before, it’s not easy. Becasue it’s more the feeling you get inside while doing it rather than the physical act of it. As Mary Woodward puts it, for many people the soul of winter is in the Kootenay’s. I think it’s anywhere you are skiing powder.
