The 2010-2011 Ski Season is Upon Us
For the last six months you’ve been going through withdrawals, reliving the best days of last ski season, and counting down until the weather turns cold, the wind picks up and mountains start their transition to snow capped peaks of pleasure. And in reward for your patience, it’s time to tune and wax the skis… It’s time to get your gear together… It’s time to start checking the report as soon as your alarm goes off…

Because across the country, from New England to the mountains in the West, the start of ski season is just around the corner! And if you’re lucky enough to live near Arapahoe Basin, things kicked off a little early this year thanks to an early season dump that left more than three feet of snow in the Colorado Rockies, allowing A-Basin to start spinning lifts on October 25th.

If your local hill is still a few weeks away from cranking things up that’s okay, it just means you have more time for the anticipation to build. And just in case you need a little help, here’s a video from the season opener at A-Base; sure looks like it’s going to be a great year based on this footage!
