Maybe you’ve heard of Apex boots, but if you haven’t, you can’t deny that they’re incredibly innovative. Time will tell if it’s an idea that revolutionizes ski boot construction, or just a fad that passes.

Take a look and decide for yourself.

These remind me of the Rossignol Soft Tech boots from a few years back. They didn’t do what they were advertised to do. We could not sell those things with a gun to our head at the old shop I worked at. I unfortunately see those going the same route. I see cold feet being an issue with these boots. The instep strap may not work for most feet (haven’t met a boot with this buckle set-up that my feet ever liked). I’m also curious on the overall strength of the cuff. Hit a rock or a gate hard enough and that may crack or break entirely. Just my $0.02.

That’s kind of funny Josh, my old ski coach can’t get enough of the soft tech boot, and he has quite a few pairs, probably enough to last him decades.
