We broke news of Oakley’s new Airbrake Goggle last night, and following up on that, we got our first look at them in person today. We’ll be checking them out again this afternoon in a little more detail, but in the meantime, check out the gallery below and the video after the jump, along with our initial thoughts.

The first thing you notice about the Airbrake is how ridiculous thin the frame bezel is on the top and bottom, for all intents and purposes it might as well not even be there. The second thing you notice is how awesomely easy it is to replace the lens on these goggles. In fact it makes swapping lenses easy enough that you could actually do it on a regular basis depending on the conditions. I’m more than excited to pick up a pair of these this season. Maybe we’ll have to have some sort of comparison competition between the Oakley Airbrakes and Smith’s I/O or I/OS?
