Posted on December 10th, 2015 in General, Skiers by Spencer

Well well well. Looks like Sammy Carlson has left APO Skis way behind and is now rocking Armada. Great news as they are here to stay. Stay up Sammy C. Check out the trailer from Sammy’s new film below and pre-order on itunes.

What is Super Proof Inc. and who is Sean Pettit?

Posted on November 16th, 2013 in General, Skiers by Spencer

Sean Pettit is one of the most amazing free skiers on snow right now. We all know that. But what we do not know is what he is doing in his free time besides running a bar in Whistler and creating Super Proof Inc. More information to come soon. For now watch this interesting edit. Canadian comedy?

Sammy Carlson Drops Summer Edit – Enjoy

Posted on October 3rd, 2013 in Skiers by Spencer

Sammy Carlson wants everyone to know how rad it is to live in Oregon. This new edit is pure Sammy. Enjoy a glimpse into the life of a Pro Skier. Props to Windells for having a money setup this summer season. Can’t say enough about the production quality from Drew Lederer and The GoPro Hero 3.

Nimbus En Route Sled BC Edit

Posted on December 12th, 2012 in Skiers by Spencer

En Route Sled BC from NIMBUS INDEPENDENT on Vimeo.

I love the En Route edits from Nimbus. The new one, Sled BC, features Chris Benchetler, Andy Mahre and Eric Pollard. A bad ass cabin in Whistler, snowmobiles, and powder are all awesome by themselves but once they are put together it is pure magic.

Nimbus Independent was started in 2007 by Eric Pollard in collaboration with Pep Fujas, Andy Mahre, and Chris Benchetler. The four like minded skiers began Nimbus to bring a different perspective to skiing.

Tanner Hall Signs A RockStar Contract

Posted on December 6th, 2012 in Skiers by Spencer

@RockStarEnergy Drinks welcome Tanner Hall to the team. He will join the likes of Sammy Carlson, Jen Hudak, Nick Martini, Matt Walker, and Phil Casabon. @TannerHall tweeted his departure from Redbull back in August while skiing in New Zealand. His 11 year sponsorship with RedBull gave him legacy status within the action sports community. Following the lead of Shawn White, THall decided it was time to seek greener grass.

It was only a matter of time before a new energy drink partnership would be announced. Honestly I am shocked that he is not bottling some sort of home brew concoction from the island of Jamaica. As Tanner has transformed into one of the most diverse skiers we have ever seen it has become hard for a company like RedBull to market him. I do think RockStar is a better fit for the time being. Tanner is going to start competing again and the Yellow Star will be front and center. This could be one of the most exciting competition seasons in FreeSki history.

Dane Tudor Moves to Scott Skis (Salomon’s Team Is Shrinking)

Posted on November 30th, 2012 in Skiers by Spencer

From backcountry to the park, Dane Tudor, is versatile. Dane was the part of the Salomon Ski team that I was actually stoked to watch in the videos. Scott skis does have a couple new hammers in the line but nothing that will showcase Dane’s skills like something like a Atomic Bentchetler or K2 Pettitor.

Just like Sammy Carlson and Simon Dumont before him it was time to find greener pastures. The ski program at Salomon has been less than what we would call, rad in the last couple years. How can the creators of the first twin tip ski lose focus so quickly?

Tim Durtschi Getting Dirty In Idaho (Prospecting Idaho Self Edit)

Posted on November 21st, 2012 in Skiers by Spencer

Tim Durtschi is one of my favorite skiers to watch on those Atomic Bent Chetler Skis. He makes skiing in the backcountry look like a day in the park. Thanks to Smith Tim has been traveling to to the Sun Valley area for the past three seasons to hit a plethora of natural hits and fun lines. This zone has been featured in the Prospecting Idaho edits. Here is a taste of what is available for the fortunate ones.

These guys know how to cut an edit. The newest view of scraps from Point and Shoot Japan makes us wonder how much footage gets left on Eric’s hard drive after a movie is produced. Thank you for not wasting these “ski shots and hilarious moments”. See you on Mt. Hood.
