The 2012 Rossignol Women’s S7 will make you a better powder skier. That’s exactly what it’s been doing for women of all abilities since its introduction to the ski industry. The first model in the Rossignol line to utilize a Rocker/Camber/Rocker technology in it’s tip to tail profile, the S7 has allows you to go from slashing 12” of new to railing out turns on hard pack with ease. This is a true freeride ski that begs you to take it to any part of the mountain and feel confident when you do. No matter if you’re just starting or a seasoned ski bum, the Women’s S7 has something to offer you. Rossignol’s Powder Turn technology is the driving force behind the S7’s magical powers. A profile of 50% Rocker (tip and tail), and 50% Camber (centered underfoot) allows you to feel in control in anything from Pow to Crud to Cords. The Spoon Tip technology up front and pin shaped tails in the back help make floating and steering through the pow a delight, opening up your ability to get creative in those un-tracked stashes. Everything about the Rossignol S7 has played a part in creating its now almost cult following in skiing. From it’s sandwich construction to the WRS (weight reduction system) wood core and fiberglass laminates, the 2012 Rossignol Women’s S7 is one of the most versatile, maneuverable and forgiving skis around. Giving you a better chance at having one hell of a day, every day you’re on them.
Difference between Rossignol S7 Women's & S7 Men's:
While the differences between Men's and Women's skis are usually fairly clear, when it comes to the Rossignol S7 series the details can be a bit confusing. There are two sizes of women's S7 skis, a 168cm and a 178cm. The men's S7 skis are offered in 3 sizes; 168cm, 178cm, and a 188cm. One of the lesser known more important facts about the Rossignol S7 series, both men's and women's, is that each different length carries with it different dimensions. Officially, the dimensions for each ski come out like this:
Dimensions:
- Rossignol S7 188cm:
- 145/115/123
- Rossignol S7 178cm:
- 140/110/118
- Rossignol S7 168cm:
- 136/105/114
- Rossignol S7 Women's 178cm:
- 140/110/118
- Rossignol S7 Women's 168cm:
- 136/105/114
One big difference between the Men's and Women's S7 in the 178cm is that essentially there is no difference. That's right, these skis come from the same mold and aside from graphics and the midsole point on the women's being 1cm forward of the men's, there is ZERO difference between the skis. The 168cm women's however does come from a completely different mold, has a thinner core to make the ski lighter and more flexible, and is 4-5mm smaller in all dimensions.

Everything you've heard about the rossignol S7 women's skis are true! They rock!!! I'm a good skier but I really think I have progressed a ton since getting my S7's. I don't think my husband has to wait as long anymore for me either :) I would recommend them to anyone who's a good skier and wants to progress a little more, especially in the powder. They make it so easy!Overall Rating - Womens Rossignol S7 Makes Me Better Reviewed by KatieSkier on 12/6/11

I was having trouble deciding what skis to go with this season until I called Skiersrealm. Kyle helped me find the perfect powder ski for me which ended up being the Womens Rossignol S7 in the 168 size.Overall Rating
I was leaning toward the Armada VJJ but decided against them after learning about the Rossignol S7 tail and how I would be able to initiate turns with ease. The added rocker in the tip stopped me from going over the handle bars when I am in deep powder but don't have the steeps to maintain speed.
I want to ski all day when there is a lot of fresh snow. I used to find that I got tired and could only ski half a powder day even though there were lots of fresh tracks to be had. Not any more. Now I ski from open to close and even do it again the next day if conditions cooperate. The womens Rossi S7 skis made me a better skier and they are truly the best sporting equipment purchase I have made.
